The accolades for the Bronx Science Speech & Debate Team are endless. Many of the school's most successful graduates honed their skills and developed their abilities by taking part in the Speech & Debate Team. The school's legendary debate coaches have helped guide the team to many impressive victories in competitions all over the country. In the 2009-2010 school year alone, Bronx Science was home to the number one debate student in the country: Andrew Markoff.

Because the team travels so frequently to take part in many prestigious competitions, it has expenses that continue throughout each school year. The Endowment Fund has over the years consistently helped allay some of the operating costs of the Speech & Debate Team, working in conjunction with the Alumni Association. It is a team effort that we are most proud of and that we plan to continue.

This program is just one of the several that are funded through our grants allocated to the Arts, Humanities, and Extra-Curricular Activities.
